Shared priorities ensure our students reach their infinite possibilities

Our Priorities

My history of involvement in the District 196 community spans over 40 years and includes various leadership roles. I have consistently advocated for and sought out the valuable insights of our stakeholders.

I firmly believe in the power of collaboration among our families, students, educators, residents, businesses, and lawmakers. And it is because of this collaborative spirit within our community that we have collectively built a district renowned for its outstanding academic achievements, award-winning artists and performers, and top-ranking athletics.

By working together toward our shared goals, I am proud to be part of a team that prioritizes high academic outcomes while at the same time remaining cognizant to keep administrative costs and property taxes comparatively low.

Education is about understanding the unique needs of our students, the challenges they face, and the dreams they are chasing. My unique perspective as a former classroom teacher and district parent equips me with a deep understanding of the multifaceted challenges and opportunities within our educational system.

Education is a game-changer — it's not just about test scores; it's about nurturing creativity, empowering critical thinking, and preparing our students to be successful, productive members of the modern workforce.

And together we can ensure

  • Transparent Communication

Open communication builds trust, ensures collaboration, and addresses students' needs, fostering an environment conducive to their lifelong success.

  • Consistent Student Experiences

Students deserve to explore every opportunity, and that begins with equipping our schools with the 21st-century tools necessary for them to reach their infinite possibilities.

  • Continued Forward Momentum

Collaboration and active participation in realizing our shared goals opens the door to innovation, enhancing our district’s competitiveness and progress.

  • Educational Equity & Inclusion

Every student is unique in their needs, interests, and aspirations, and together we must provide the best education and support for all students in District 196.
